Your Welcome Pack and will be dispatched to you within 48 hours of you subscribing to our Platinum membership (and once you have added three or more rounds). Likewise a renewal handicap card will be dispatched to you within 48 hours of you making a new card request.
Deliveries To UK Residences
Standard delivery to UK residences is free of charge and is included as part of your Platinum membership. Both your Welcome Pack and renewal cards will be sent to you by Royal Mail standard package post. Please therefore allow a total of up to seven working days for delivery from the date of your request or subscription.
Deliveries To Non UK Residences
If you are resident or have a mailing address outside of the UK, you will need to pay an additional annual delivery fee of £6 on top of the £14.95 membership fee to cover international postage costs. The additional delivery fee will automatically be added to your membership fee at the time of payment. Please also note that you should allow up to 14 working days for the delivery from the date of your new card request or subscription.
Urgent Cards Requests (24 hour Express Delivery)
If you need your handicap card urgently (for instance you are going away or have a golf event coming up) you can request for your card to be sent to you by Royal Mail Special Delivery, guaranteeing delivery by 4pm the next day to UK mailing addresses. There is an additional charge for this Express Delivery service of £4.95 per card or Welcome Pack for mailing addresses in the UK.
To request Express Delivery please select the relevant box on the online payment form at the time of payment and the additional express delivery fee will automatically be added to the total sum you owe. Please note that Express Delivery requests need to be made by 12pm on a particular day in order to guarantee delivery by 4pm the next day.
Members who have non UK mailing addresses can also request Express Delivery. Prices and delivery times for the service depend on your country of residence. For more details please contact our Customer Services
Platinum Account Terms and Conditions
Terms and Conditions
Members that upgrade their membership to a Platinum Account, which includes the Golfscoretracker Handicap Card Service, agree to the following terms and conditions that apply to the Platinum Account.
In addition, they agree to the general website terms and conditions, disclaimer and privacy policy which can be seen here .
Platinum Account General Service Terms
Platinum Account membership lasts for a period of 12 months from the date of subscription and includes the following: - A credit card sized handicap certificate made from 760 micron plastic sent to the member up to four times a year at the request of the member. - Access to the Premium website functionality for 12 months from the date of subscription. - A Welcome Pack sent to the member once the member has subscribed and added a minimum of three rounds to the online score tracking system. The Welcome Pack contains a handicap card and welcome letter.
Handicap Cards and Card Renewals
During the 12 month subscription period a member can receive up to a maximum of four handicap cards. The first handicap card is sent to the member automatically after subscription as part of their Welcome Pack. Subsequent cards are sent to the member at the request of the member. The member can request a new card online at any time during their 12 month subscription period by going to the New Card Request page.
Members will need to add or have previously added a minimum of three rounds to their online score tracking system before the system can calculate their handicap. Only once they have done this can Golfscoretracker send out their Welcome Pack including the handicap card.
Pricing
Platinum Account membership, for new users and existing Standard Account members, costs £14.95 per person for a 12 month subscription. Platinum Account membership for existing Premium Account members costs £9.95 for a 12 month subscription and includes 12 months’ renewal of their Premium website membership from the date of subscribing.
Standard and Premium members can subscribe to the service online by going to the Account Upgrade page. Payment is taken at the time of subscription using the PayPal payment service.
Golfscoretracker reserve to right to amend any prices at any time without prior notice.
Delivery
i) Standard Delivery
Subscribers are required to provide a delivery address during the registration and payment process. Welcome Packs and renewal cards are sent by Royal Mail second class post to all UK delivery addresses. If the delivery address is not in the UK then mailings are sent by Royal Mail standard international post.
Members with UK delivery addresses should allow up to seven working days from the date of subscription (and once they have added a minimum of three rounds) to receive their welcome pack and renewal handicap cards.
Members with non UK delivery addresses should allow up to 14 working days for delivery.
Delivery costs to all UK delivery addresses are included as part of the £14.95 annual Platinum Account membership fee. Members with non UK delivery addresses are required to pay an additional annual delivery fee of £6 per person at the time of subscription to cover the international postage charges.
ii) Express Delivery
Members with UK delivery addresses can request to have their Welcome Packs and renewal cards delivered to them by Royal Mail Special Delivery, guaranteeing delivery by 4pm the next day if requested by 12pm the day before. Special Delivery costs an additional £4.95 per delivery.
Members can request the service by selecting the relevant box on the online payment form at the time of payment and the additional express delivery fee will automatically be added to the total sum owed.
Members with non UK addresses can also request express delivery by contacting Customer Services. Prices and delivery times are dependent on the delivery destination. Members will be informed of them when they contact Customer Services.
Golf Handicaps
i) Handicap Classifications
All Golfscoretrkacer golf handicaps are calculated according to the exact same specification and rules used by the UK and US handicapping systems and are split into the five categories each with maximum handicaps as follows: Men (28), Women (36), Beginners (36), Juniors (56), Registered Blind (56). Junior handicaps are valid for members under 18 years of age. Details of how Golfscoretracker golf handicaps are calculated can be seen here .
Golf handicaps are available for the following country associations; UK and USGA. EGA and AGU handicaps will be available shortly.
ii) Recognised Handicap
The Golfscoretracker Handicap is a recognised golf handicap that is accepted and recognised at golf courses worldwide. Therefore members can be safe in the knowledge that they can use the Handicap Card as proof of golf handicap and it is accepted at golf courses throughout the world. A selection of golf course groups that recognise the Golfscoretracker handicap certificate can be seen here.
Members should be aware that Golfscoretracker is at present unable to call their golf handicap an official club handicap as currently official clubhandicaps can only be issued by golf clubs to their club members affiliated to handicapping body for the country of origin. However Golfscoretracker have never received any reported cases of anyone who has been refused permission to play a golf course after having shown a Golfscoretracker Handicap.
iii) Handicap Disclaimer
Golfscoretracker are not responsible or liable should for any reason a golf club refuse a Member permission to play their course once they have presented a valid Golfscoretracker handicap card certificate. For the avoidance of all doubt members should contact the golf clubs that they aim to play in advance of booking a tee time in order to check the club’s handicap policy and whether it will accept their Golfscoretracker Handicap Certificate. iv) Presenting Handicaps in Advance of Play
Members can very easily present their handicap by email to a club in advance of play by setting their Handicap Security to Public via their Profile Settings and emailing the club a web link to their Handicap Certificate page. Alternatively they can download the .pdf version of their handicap certificate and email or print and post it to the club.
A member’s handicap certificate shows their last 10 rounds and handicap performance for the year to date. The online score tracking section of the website will show a member’s full scoring history and handicap performance from the date they first added rounds.
v) Golf Club Open Championships
Members playing in a golf club’s open championship should always check with the club that it accepts their Golfscoretracker Handicap for the competition before entering.
Expiry and Renewal
A member’s Platinum membership and the validity of their handicap card will expire 12 months after the date of their subscription. At the time of expiry members will be given the option to renew their Platinum membership for another 12 months or return to being a free Standard Member. A Standard Member has restricted access to website functionality and is without the handicap card service.
A member can renew their Platinum Account subscription at any time online by going to the Account Upgrade page.
Please note that if members opt to become a Standard Member, access to website functionally will be restricted but none of their existing scoring history and rounds will be deleted.
